Christmas in June?

christmas-giveaway-picI know, I know, the title seems totally bonkers right?

But earlier this Summer I was hired to perform at two separate times at one wedding, during the photographs and also during the evening reception. Now, this is not uncommon, but I was a good 2 and a half hours away from home, so I decided to stay during the interval and wait it out!
Wow, its amazing how slow 5 hours can be when you have nothing to do except sit in your car on a sweltering summers day!

So by now you’re asking ‘what’s the Christmas part got to do with it?’
Well, I was so bored waiting, I scoured y car to see if there was something that could keep my interest for a short while!
What did I find? Only 2 Christmas DVDS thats all!
Hallelujah! This was probably the highlight of my year at that precise moment of time!!!
I instantly put the DVD on to watch, on the cars built in entertainment system.
It was amazing, there I was, sat in my car on one of the hottest days in July watching The Nativity, and The Nativity 2!

Wha can I say? I really enjoyed it, 2 cracking films, and if you haven’t watched them yet, do it this they’re awesome!

It was something different, traditionally we ALL watch Christmas films, but mainly in December, so to watch it in the middle of Summer on one of the hottest days of the year was totally surreal and unique, but you know what? I totally enjoyed it, and its a memory that will stay with me for a very long time.
It goes to prove that sometimes the simplest things in life are the most memorable and remarkable!
So, if you are one of the few regulars who read this blog, apart from my mother (Love you mam) then may I be the first to wish you a very merry Christmas, and a happy new year!
